Hillary Clinton Finds her Voice and Discovers How to Release her Brilliance
9 01 2008It’s 4:08 AM and I am in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and listening to the victory speech of Hillary Clinton (I am not declaring my party affiliation or endorsing a candidate… yet) after winning the New Hampshire primary. Senator Clinton said in her opening remarks “thank you New Hampshire for helping me find my voice.”
I sat there thinking WOW… what a powerful statement. When she said it I stopped typing to take in the full impact of her statement. There is something changing in America. The known establishment here is changing at its very core. Why? Just a few days ago we saw Senator Barack Obama win the Iowa primary. Now we have witnessed the first ever viable female candidate for the presidency of the greatest nation on the face of the earth win the primary in New Hampshire.
Ladies and gentleman, we are witnessing history in the making. Anytime you can have two minorities win primary races just five days apart, it gives hope and voice to those who are the least, the last, and the left out of the mainstream here in America. Finding your voice is discovering your authentic self – the human and personal side of an individual. People are tired of canned presentations given by stiff backs, programmed messages that are heavy on pontification but light on substance and depth.
Until you find your voice, you are invisible to a point. You are probably saying, “invisible to who?” Invisible to yourself. You will discover your brilliance and release it when you find your authentic voice. Show me your heart, get real, put your truth on the table and release your brilliance.
