What is Brilliance?

3 01 2008

Greetings and welcome to my first post on the Simon T Bailey Blog! I plan to use this platform to share additional insight and brilliant gems to help you release YOUR brilliance. I’ll try to post regularly (a few times each week) with a variety of information to keep you engaged. Be sure to visit often and/or subscribe to this blogs RSS feed via the link on the right side of the page.

I’d like to launch this blog by expanding on what brilliance truly is and what you can expect to find in my new book.

The fundamental purpose for creating the Release Your Brilliance is to introduce the world to a way of being engaged for life. People around the world want to unleash their potential in an environment where they are celebrated rather than tolerated.

What is brilliance?
- It’s finding your inner light and letting it shine for the whole world to see.
- Rediscovering the diamond called you.
- It’s living from the inside out.
- It’s discovering and leveraging your unique talents and your pure, intuitive intelligence.

Brilliance lives in the heart of each one of us, and is designed to make each one of us complete, and happy.

Many people show off their brilliance through their work, relationships, and daily activities. There are 4 steps that contain 15 key facets which make up the core of this book. No doubt you’ll recognize some familiar principles, concepts and suggestions. Realize there is nothing new under the sun. If it’s new, it’s not true. And if it’s true, it’s not new. All truths, insights and wisdom have existed in the Universe, waiting for a voice to articulate the meaning of a concept and its impact on your life.

As you discover each facet, the following tools will help you initiate your transformation to a brilliant diamond:

- Personal Appraisal. Just as a jewelry appraisal assesses the value of a piece of jewelry, the Personal Appraisal will help you identify and clarify your value and worth. Each set of questions will get you thinking and encourage you to dig deeper into the mine of your diamond brilliance. Write down your response to each question, and then periodically review your answers so you can see and track your progress.

- Diamond Polishing. This tool involves three action steps – the keys to unlocking your potential. Like a diamond, the more you polish your facets, the more you will begin to release your brilliance from the inside out.

- A Gem for You. These quotes sum up the essence of each facet and encapsulate the meaning of the message. Teach this truth to others, and your light will shine even brighter.

In my book, Releasing Your Brilliance, you’ll discover brief passages called Living Diamonds. These stories illustrate how ordinary people have applied the concepts and principles in this book to unlock their hidden vaults and release their brilliance.

To get the most benefit from Release Your Brilliance, read through the entire book once. Then determine the best way to implement the transformational system in your own life. Work at your own pace. You can complete one facet each week or one each month. This is thought-provoking stuff – give the Personal Appraisal and Daily Polishing exercises the time they deserve. The whole point of this book is to get you to reflect on your life and deeply consider your future. That takes time. There’s no prize for the person who finishes first. Brilliance is a process not an event. Brilliance is a marathon not a sprint.
